Fill It in for Bobbby Gumm! Your candidate to be our next Pulaski County Jailer.

About Bobby Gumm

"My father was my first inspiration for wanting to become jailer. When he served as Pulaski County Jailer, I grew up living above the jail in Pulaski County, learning early the responsibility, discipline, and commitment the position requires."

Bobby Gumm... Giving Back

Throughout this journey, Bobby's faith in God has guided him and carried him, forward, especially during the hardest seasons of his life.

Family has shaped who Bobby Gumm is today. He is a father of five children.  Bobby knows tragedy having experienced the devastating loss of a child to a drug overdose, a loss that forever changed Bobby. The loss deepened his understanding of addiction, accountability, and the impact substance abuse has on our families and communities. We would be hard pressed to find a family in Pulaski County that has not been touched by addiction.

In 2023, Bobby married his wife, Amanda, and together they built a home overlooking Lake Cumberland, representing stability, commitment, and the future they are building a family.

Giving back has always mattered to Bobby Gumm. He was the organizer of a bass fishing tournament, working alongside one of our local churches, that raised over $50,000 for Kentucky flood relief to help families affected by devastating flooding.

Bobby Gumm, Faith Family and Giving Back

Bobby Gumm has known tragedy and triumph, he has had ups and downs. Some things are constant, his faith has guided him through the hard times, his family drives him to move forward and his desire to give back to our community makes Pulaski County a better place to live.

Faith

Bobby's faith is a guiding force in his life. Bobby knows the redemption of our lord and savior, and he knows that everyone can find forgiveness and a way forward through God.

Family

Stability, commitment, and the future are what Family means to Bobby. His wife, children and grand children can be heard running through the hallways on the weekends.

Giving Back

Bobby donated to our local jail so inmates’ children could have Christmas presents, and I have supported many other local organizations through donations and community involvement. He has also invested in our youth by starting a youth fishing league and mentoring several young fishermen, teaching discipline, responsibility, and teamwork.
